Details from the 2018 Dunedin Marathon that will be revised for the 2019 event.
Red Cross personnel will follow the event and a First Aid station will be in place at the finish. The race organizers reserve the right to withdraw any competitor who is deemed medically unfit to continue the race. All competitors agree to abide by this ruling by the fact they enter the event.
Eight stations at 5km intervals will serve water and drinks from Pure Sports Nutrition at each Drink Station and the Finish Line. Refer to the Course Map (course maps will be available once the courses have been confirmed) for all Drink Station locations.
Participants in the full marathon have the option to have their own drinks (aka “special drinks”) placed at each drink station. If you have entered the full marathon and would like to use this service, bring your drinks, which must be clearly labelled, to race pack pick up.
FINISH LINE FACILITIES
Medical support and masseurs will be on hand at the finish.

All competitors enter at the their own risk. However as stated above, the organisers reserve right to withdraw any competitor if the competitor appears to be medically at risk.
