5 km course

Distances on the map are approximate.

The elevation has been included as a navigation device. To follow the course run your finger or mouse along the elevation graph.

Please ignore the actual values on the elevation graph because it gives the impression of a rolling course, whereas it’s relatively flat.

Course Summary

The 5 km fun run/walk will start on the track at the Caledonian Ground near the steeplechase water jump (there won’t be any water in it), going clockwise around the track to exit at the South East gate. Turn left, then left again onto Butts Road, go round a loop in front of Logan Park High School and head back down Butts Road. Turn right onto Anzac Ave and after 100 m, turn around to back down Anzac Ave to skirt the edge of the Forsyth Barr Stadium, onto the shared path, under the SH88 bridge. Continue onto the wooden bridge across the Leith River and along the shared path parallel to the railway line going under the Ward St bridge. Turn off the path onto and over the Ward St ramp staying on the right hand side of the road to Wickliffe St. Turn right onto Fryatt St turning around at Halsey St. After 300m turn left onto Wickliffe. Continue on to the Ward St ramp/bridge to the finish outside Emerson’s.
