Starts at the Portobello Recreation Reserve, then turns right to head northeast up the peninsula to Harwood for a loop. Out of Harwood, turn left to go further up the peninsula and turning around about 350 m past Wellers Rock.
From there head back along the peninsula to the city, heading pass Forsyth Barr Stadium and finishing at Emerson’s.
Start at the entrance of the Portobello Recreation Reserve, head down Allans Beach Road, right into Harrington Point Rd, stay on harbour side, left into Tidewater Dr (3.1km), right into Harwood St, left into Kokomuka Ave, right into Stepney Ave, right into Carnock Rd (5km) DRINK STATION, right into Harwood St, left into Tidewater Dr.
Left into Harrington Point Rd, stay on Harbour side, DRINK STATION (9.9km), turn around near Pipikaretu Rd (12.2 km)
Back along Harington Point road, stay on harbour side, DRINK STATION (14.5km), DRINK STATION (19.7km), carry on to Portobello Rd, stay on harbour side shared path where available, DRINK STATION (24.8km), DRINK STATION (30km), DRINK STATION (35.5km), right onto Portsmouth Dr shared path. Right by Harbour Molars, DRINK STATION (37.9km), pass Watercooled Sports, right into Kitchener St cycle lane, into Birch St cycle lane, right across Harbour Basin (lower level), pass in front of Harbourside Grill, right into Fryatt St. Left into Wickliffe St at controlled crossing point.
Cross to right side of Wickliffe St to enter shared path, DRINK STATION (40.47km), left across the new wooden swing bridge onto Magnet St, left into Neptune St, left onto State Highway 88. Left to the finish at Emerson’s.
