The half marathon recreational walk was introduced in 1995. It’s a recreational walk because there are no judges checking for stepping. However many excellent walkers have competed in this event.

The event results did not include genders until 2014. The Top 100 Women and Men lists below were produced manually with assumptions regarding genders based purely on the name of the participant.
